Jonathan Plasencia to Join Hillcrest System as Director of Operations

Tulsa, OK—Core Clinical Partners today announced that Jonathan Plasencia, FACHE, will join the Hillcrest System in Tulsa as its new Director of Operations. Together in a dyad model with System Medical Director Dr. Darren Thomas, Plasencia will oversee a hospitalist medicine practice that sees more than 200,000 patients a year.

“I’m very excited to have someone with Jon’s background join our team in Tulsa,” said Core Clinical Partners CEO Dr. Boykin Robinson. “His varied experience operating large and complex systems in multiple settings will translate very well into helping manage our hospitalist practices across the Hillcrest system.”

Plasencia has over 15 years of healthcare leadership experience in both hospital and clinic operations. He has a track record of improving hospital quality metrics, and patient experience, and building high-functioning healthcare teams. Plasencia spent the last five years as the Chief Operating Officer of Easter Oklahoma Veterans Healthcare System, which includes a 101-bed intermediate care hospital and 10 outpatient locations, and covers more than 650,000 visits annually.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California San Diego and an MBA from the University of California Irvine. Plasencia is also a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and is a United States Navy Veteran.

About Core Clinical Partners

Core Clinical Partners is a hospital-based physician services company founded on the principles of partnership, transparency, and clinical alignment, overseeing 26 emergency medicine and hospital medicine programs in six states and serving more than 600,000 patients annually. In a market where outsourced groups have become vendors to their hospitals and staffing agencies to their physicians and advanced practice providers, Core does things differently by providing unique partnership models for both health systems and physicians that align their own compensation to quality metrics. By combining the capabilities of a national group with the kind of individualized, on-the-ground service usually only found in smaller groups, Core is able to guide hospitals and health systems on their journey toward top-tier metrics and outstanding patient experience.
